Who are we?
Energy4All has now created 7 renewable energy co-ops:
You can find a full list of co-ops and projects here
Energy4All is the UKs leading expert in community-owned renewable energy schemes, we work primarily with community groups and landowners, to develop renewable energy projects that are wholly or partially owned by a community co-operative.
Energy4All is run by a dedicated team promoting the highly successful asset-ownership model pioneered by the award winning Baywind Energy Co-operative Ltd. (www.baywind.coop)
Energy4All was established in 2002 and is a not-for-profit organisation owned by the co-operatives it creates. Energy4All is dedicated to helping communities around the UK to own a stake in renewable energy schemes. It does this by developing sites and creating co-operatives to own complete sites, or to buy a stake in a site from a commercial developer.
Energy4All has 7 renewable energy co-ops, we have helped each co-op to successfully raise the required finance through public share issues. To date over 13 million has been raised through the co-ops. The minimum public investment is usually 250, with a legal maximum of 20,000. The co-op is run according to normal co-operative principles, so each member receives a single vote in the co-ops affairs, regardless of the amount invested. The co-ops members elect a local board, which is supported by Energy4All in running the co-op.
