Cushnie Wind Farm, near Tarland, Aberdeenshire.
This is a seven turbine site located on a prominent ridge known as Pressendye. The site is approximately 40 km west of Aberdeen and 4km north of Tarland
In line with Falcks commitment to community engagement, if the extension is approved, a local co-operative is intended to be set up through Energy4All, to allow local people the opportunity to purchase a stake in the wind farm. Local people will be able to join the co-op, buying shares between 250 and 20,000. Profits from the sale of the green electricity produced by the wind farm will then be distributed to members through an annual dividend.
Falck Renewables have recently submitted Supplementary Environmental Information to Aberdeenshire Council. Planning Reference APP/2008/0237
