Dunbeath Wind Farm

This is a Section 36 submission to Scottish Ministers for a 22 turbine scheme located inland from Dunbeath in Caithness.

In line with Falcks commitment to community engagement, if the extension is approved, a local co-operative is intended to be set up through Energy4All, to allow local people the opportunity to purchase a stake in the wind farm. Local people will be able to join the co-op, buying shares worth between £250 and £20,000. Profits from the sale of green electricity produced by the wind farm will then be distributed to members through an annual dividend.

A package of Supplementary Information is due to be submitted in late April 2009.  Letters of support for the scheme should ideally be submitted to the Scottish Government in May 2009.
